Ann M Visser, CNM

Ann has been with Stony Brook Midwives since 2005.  Ann helped bring CenteringPregnancy group prenatal care to stony Brook and is an active facilitator and is the coordinator for the program.  Ann is a Lactation counselor and has supported the Breastfeeding Support Group for many years. ( The group is currently paused until a new location is found)  Ann has been active in state organizations and well as local midwifery chapters over the years.

Ann's passion for helping pregnant people and their families started when she was Bradly method childbirth educator, doula and birth assistant to home birth midwives. Ann is married to her high school sweetheart and they have 3 wonderful children.

The Midwifery Practice is a participant in Maternal Infant Microbiome study with Dr. Gretchen Mockler in Family Medicine, as well as other Stony Brook Women's Health research studies.
