Annemarie Folken, NP

Annemarie Folken has been a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) in the NICU at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital since 2016. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree Magna Cum Laude from Mount Saint Mary College.  She started her nursing career as a registered nurse on an adult neuro telemetry floor and transitioned to a NICU nurse at Stony Brook Hospital. During that time, Annemarie developed the passion, desire, and drive to provide the next level of care for critically ill babies.  This required additional specialized training and a master’s degree in neonatal care, leading to an accreditation as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in 2016.  She is passionate about the delivery of quality care to infants and assisting families during their babies’ hospital course. Annmarie finds her career incredibly rewarding. Annmarie's special interests include delivery room resuscitation and procedure/skill training with the fellows.
