Abdominal wall reconstruction is a novel and rapidly developing field of surgery. In fact, most modern procedures that are now considered gold standard techniques for complex hernia repair were invented just 10-15 years ago. Along the path of my surgical training, I was fortunate to work with the inventors of these modern techniques and learn from the best. During my fellowship at Columbia University, I learned the entire spectrum of hernia surgery, including recurrent complicated cases.

My goal is to provide state-of-the-art hernia care and modern abdominal wall reconstruction solutions to Long Island residents. I believe in a minimally invasive, individualized surgical approach and in patient optimization and prehabilitation. The multidisciplinary team at the Stony Brook Comprehensive Hernia Center is striving for the best possible outcomes and will support our patients at every step of their journey.
