Bernard F Martin, DPM

I have had a long and successful career practicing podiatric medicine and surgery for the past 39 years both at my private practice in Queens and, presently, here at Stony Brook University Hospital. Before becoming a podiatric surgeon, I was a member of City College of New York, teaching Human Anatomy, Histology, Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology in the Medical School. I'm currently Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery with continuous educational conferences, CME, annually. For the last 15 years, I have been fortunate to be an Assistant Professor in Stony Brook Department of Surgery's Vascular and Podiatric divisions.
My focus has always been to improve my patient's overall wellbeing by addressing their discomfort and providing specialized care for conditions such as diabetic complications. I treat patients for general podiatric care as well as most podiatric surgical problems and sports injuries. I also care for diabetic patients with ulcerations, bone infections, general infections and most complications related to the foot and ankle.
I look forward to continuing my commitment to excellence in podiatric medicine and surgery here at Stony Brook and I do my best to make to make a positive impact on the lives of those I serve.
