Katherine G Wightman, MD

I have been a Family Doctor for nearly 30 years.  I provide a full range of Family Medicine care including caring for infants, children, adolescents and adults through all stages of life. My background is in psychology and philosophy.  I provide a place to discuss anything that is impacting on someone's health, including change, loss and personal/family stresses,.  I enlist my patients in exploring ways to improve their health.  I attempt to make lifestyle changes feel possible, and to identify obstacles to achieving desired changes.  My patients know that I care deeply about their health and that I will support them, even when they are not ready to make a change. I am deeply interested in mental health as I come from a family with autism and addiction/mental health issues. I am an advocate for women's health and fitness as a serious athlete.  I care for a number of children and adults on the autism spectrum and I can relate to the fear and grief that accompanies that diagnosis.  I help my families navigate this life changing circumstance.
