Dr. Herrera is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist. She completed her residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia in obstetrics and gynecology, and subsequently finished her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City
