About
The reason I became an emergency physician remains what I feel to be our most important mission and our greatest strength. I believe that the first priority of Emergency Medicine is to maximize safety for the maximum number of patients. Patients are thusly prioritized by their proximity to danger, both in terms of the possible disease and injury present as well as their temporal relation to it. Of equal importance is that this mission of safety is prioritized independent of a patient's particular societal attributes or social standing.
