Robin Cunningham, MD

Dr. Robin Cunningham, Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, graduated from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She went on to do her Residency at Long Island College Hospital, affiliate of Downstate Health Sciences University, and completed her Cross-sectional Body Imaging Fellowship at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania. Appointed at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2008, she specializes in Cross-Sectional Abdominal Imaging, interpreting both CT and ultrasound studies, including Shear-Wave Ultrasound Elastography.  With a strong interest in the education of our future physicians, Dr. Cunningham is also Co-Director of the Medical School Clerkship in Radiology, and teaches ultrasound to medical students, as well as to residents in radiology. She has been involved in medical missions by providing ultrasound education to attending physicians, residents, and students so they may deliver advanced care to the impoverished people of Peru and has herself traveled to Sacred Valley in the Andes Mountains to provide specialized ultrasound expertise.
