Ainul Asif, MD

As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital, my professional journey is deeply rooted in a commitment to excellence. I completed my undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University, laying the foundation for my academic pursuits. Subsequently, I earned my medical degree from St. Matthew’s University in Grand Cayman, showcasing a dedication to both global perspectives and medical knowledge. During my residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, I served as the 3rd and 4th-year chief, honing leadership skills and fostering a passion for medical education. Following the completion of my residency, I joined the Hospitalist service at Stony Brook University Hospital, contributing five years of valuable experience as a daytime Hospitalist. In 2018, I made the strategic decision to transition to a full-time Nocturnist role, further enhancing my skills in nighttime healthcare delivery. Beyond clinical duties, my paramount interest lies in giving back to the community. As a physician, I am unwaveringly dedicated to providing competent and compassionate medical care for all my patients. Throughout this journey of medicine, I continually strive to become a better human, recognizing the profound impact it has on both my professional and personal growth. This commitment is the driving force in my professional journey, and I eagerly anticipate contributing meaningfully to both my academic and community roles.
