Alexander Slade, MD, PhD

Dr. Slade received his BS in Biology from Cornell University and his MD and PhD (focused on health economics) from the University of Illinois. He completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received specialized training in brachytherapy. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology.

His clinical interests are in the treatment of patients with genitourinary malignancies with both external beam radiation and brachytherapy. His research interests are in large data analysis, healthcare disparities, as well as clinical research in both genitourinary treatmetns and toxicity as well as in health disparities surrounding prostate cancer outcomes. He also is active in teaching health economics to students in the public health, MBA and MHA programs at Stony Brook University.
