I became a nurse practitioner because I wanted to be able to continue my education and practice independently, while still being able to do what I love most: caring for patients at the bedside. 

What I love most about being a nurse practitioner is the ability to support my patients through some of the most important phases in their life. It is an honor and a privilege to be there for them not only though the happy times, but through the more difficult times as well.
