I love being involved in such a critical role in a person’s life and help make a difference. I grew up in the area and Stony Brook was the hospital I went to as a child and now coming full circle and working there.  I am board certified in Critical Care Medicine.  I did my fellowship so that I can take care of the sickest of the sick. I have almost 30 years of experience. My areas of specialization are Critical Care, Vascular, Robotic surgery, POCUS. My experience in private practice for over 20 years has helped me develop a curriculum in "Life after Residency" in which I teach the residents about Academic vs Private Practice, how to interview for a job, what to look for in a practice. As chairman for 10 years, I have experience to teach residents about running a practice, leadership, running an OR, budgets, etc. I am starting to become involved in CTICU research. I grew up in Smithtown and Stony Brook was the hospital I came to with broken bones and needing stitches.
