Annapurneswara Rao Chimpiri, MD

Dr. Annapurneswara Rao Chimpiri, Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, graduated from Rangaraya Medical College, India.  Dr. Chimpiri completed his Radiology Residency in Leeds, UK, and a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.  Appointed at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2014, Dr Chimpiri specializes in Abdominal and Pelvic Imaging with special interests in hepato-biliary imaging, pancreatic cancer, small bowel imaging and advanced pelvic floor imaging. He is active in research involving pancreatic cancer, developing Advanced MRI techniques in abdomen, perianal fistula and fetal MR imaging.
