About
Dr. Brendan Boyce serves as the Director of Bone and Soft Tissue service for the department of Pathology at Stony Brook Medicine. Previously, Dr. Boyce served as Vice-Chair for Anatomic Pathology and as the Director of Surgical Pathology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, NY. Dr. Boyce is best known at the national and international level for his NIH-funded research program on the role of NF-kappa B in the formation and functions of osteoclasts and osteoblasts and how these are disturbed in common bone diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, metastatic bone disease, and age- and menopause-related osteoporosis. Dr. Boyce specializes in Surgical Pathology with expertise in common and rare diseases of bones and soft tissues and works closely with oncologists and oncology surgeons at Stony Brook Medicine.
