I started my residency in Internal Medicine before I ventured into the world of Anesthesiology. I had the opportunity and privilege to consult with the Anesthesia pain team while doing my Oncology rotation for that month. I was appreciative of the anesthesiologist who helped my patient as she was nearing the end of life. They were able to take away her pain and her fears. Following that experience I gained tremendous respect and appreciation as well as interest in the field of Anesthesiology.
