Christopher Christodoulou, PhD

Dr. Christopher Christodoulou is a neuropsychologist and a Research Assistant Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, and Neurology in the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. He received his BA in psychology and his MA in community-clinical psychology from the University of Maryland. He earned his PhD in psychology specializing in neurocognition from the City University of New York. He completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and the Neuropsychology & Neuroscience Laboratory of the Kessler Foundation. He serves as a neuropsychologist in the Stony Brook Center of Excellence for Alzheimers disease (CEAD) where he provides neurocognitive evaluations to help guide diagnosis and treatment planning for individuals with dementia and their families. He also provides education to health care providers and the general public on topics related to dementia and healthy brain aging. His research spans a variety of clinical populations, with a focus on the relation of cognition to neuroimaging, the treatment of cognitive impairment with pharmacological compounds, and the interaction of cognition with affect and personality/temperament.
