About Christy A Beneri

About

I joined the faculty at Stony Brook University School of Medicine 15 years ago and have enormously enjoyed contributing to the education, care and research missions of the institution. As a native Long Islander, I am also delighted that I can give back to the community locally but embrace opportunities that have helped me expand my research work beyond our coastal communities. As the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program Director, I also enjoy training the next generation of physicians. My clinical and research work includes infection control practices, vaccine clinical trials, tuberculosis drug development, pediatric transplant, Lyme disease and tick-borne infections.
