Cynthia A Cervoni, PhD

Cynthia Cervoni, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, working with the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Division (Director of Psychology), the Mind Body Clinical Research Center, and the Faculty and Staff Wellness Team. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology (with a Health Emphasis) at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Dr. Cervoni completed her doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship with the Stony Brook University KPC-MBCRC Consortium Program and has been a faculty member since 2018. She has extensive clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, interventions for behavioral medicine, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness-based treatments. Her research interests focus on chronic and acute illness and psychological health. Dr. Cervoni also provides clinical supervision and assists in didactic training for medical students, psychiatry residents, psychology graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows.
