Dalia Eid, MD

Dr. Eid is a Pediatric Infectious Disease specialist dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of children. She is experienced in diagnosing and treating various complex bacterial, fungal, and viral infections. She pursued her training in Infectious Disease at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Long Island and moved on to becoming a faculty member at Stony Brook Children’s in 2022 where she took on the role of Director of Pediatrics Antimicrobial Stewardship. She was driven to join Stony Brook’s Pediatric ID Division due to its involvement in both clinical service and research work contributing to the development of new drugs and vaccines in children, pertinent to various infections such as HIV, Tuberculosis, COVID-19, and Lyme disease. She has also researched Staphylococcal colonization and infection in the NICU setting. Her goals as an antibiotic steward are to improve pediatric antibiotic usage through audits, prospective feedback, and developing standardized hospital protocols.
