About Daniel Singer

About

I chose Emergency Medicine as my service line area because of its dynamic and challenging nature. Every shift brings a new set of cases, and the unpredictability keeps me on my toes. My interest in this field stems from a combination of personal experiences and a desire to provide compassionate, immediate, and comprehensive care to those in need.

From the perspective of my patients, what makes me well-suited to help them is not only my medical knowledge and expertise, by my humor and commitment to treating them as individuals rather than just addressing their diseases. I pride myself on understanding the emotional and psychological aspects of illness and strive to provide holistic care that goes beyond simply managing symptoms. My specialization in point of care ultrasound also provides a human touch that helps educate and bring diagnostic modalities to my patients to better understand their ailments.

In terms of research, I have been actively involved in research that improve medical care protocols and enhance pain management, improve resuscitation quality efforts, and using artificial intelligence for education of future healthcare professionals.

I have been a long term resident of East Setauket and my connection to Suffolk County is deeply rooted in going to school in the Three Village District. I have had the privilege of seeing both the university and my community change and grow over time, and I still proudly go to Se-Port Deli and purchase the same sandwiches for over 20 years.

As far as personal passions, I have always been drawn to the outdoors and enjoy hiking on some of the Long Island trails and beyond. I enjoy all seasons, especially the summer when I can take advantage of the beaches on the Island which include some of my favorites. Traveling and teaching point of care ultrasound abroad has given me perspective on the greater world of medicine and has given me immense joy and pride, and I hope to continue my efforts in this arena for many years.
