David J Fiorella, MD, PhD

Dr. Fiorella, a Board Certified neuroradiologist, is the Director of the Cerebrovascular Center and Neurointerventional Fellowship Program and Co-Director of the Stroke Center since 2009. He has been named as one of Castle Conolly Top Doctors since 2010, has been named to “Top Doctors” on New York Magazine since 2017, has been named on Newsday Top Doctors on Long Island since 2011 and Top Doctors New York Metro Area (digital guide) 2016-2023.  He received his neuroradiology and neuroendovascular training at Duke University and the Barrow Neurological Institute.  Dr. Fiorella is highly regarded as a pioneer in the introduction of novel devices for neurointerventional treatment of brain aneurysms and intracranial atherosclerosis. He has co-authored more than 350 original publications. He has served as a National Principal Investigator on multiple clinical trials. Dr. Fiorella has expertise in neurointerventional treatment of cerebral aneurysms, neurointerventional management of acute stroke, embolization of central nervous system (CNS) tumors and embolization of the middle meningeal artery (MMA) for chronic subdural hematomas (cSDH), neurointerventional treatment of cerebral and spinal arteriovenous malformations, dural arteriovenous fistulas, carotid and intracranial atherosclerosis and neurointerventional treatment of chronic migraine conditions.
