Dawn M Dawson, NP

Dawn Dawson, a Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in Pediatrics and Adult care and a strong background in primary care, is passionate about caring for patients with genetic conditions, particularly Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.   She treats a variety of genetic and metabolic disorders across the patient's lifespan. Having worked in various clinical settings, Dawn has witnessed the impact of complex diseases not only on her patients but also on her family. Her mission is to advocate for and empower patients and their families. She is committed to providing medical care that addresses not only their physical needs but also their psychological and emotional well-being.  Dawn believes comprehensive care is achieved through the collaboration of the family and their medical team, working together to meet the unique needs of the patient. She works diligently to cultivate strong working relationships with every family under her care. She considers herself fortunate as a provider to be able to navigate her patients through various innovative research and new treatment options. Outside of work, Dawn enjoys scuba diving, kayaking, and adventures with her two boys and dogs.
