Denise A Albano, DNP

I have always felt that being a nurse practitioner was my calling and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have a doctorate degree in nursing practice and have practiced as a nurse practitioner for more than 25 years in cancer care. I am honored to be a part of our patients' care and I learn from each of them. I have also loved being a mentor and a professor for several nursing programs.

I am presently the Associate Director of the Stony Brook Chest Cancer Clinic. I have published multiple studies in cancer care with studies in screening and prevention as well as treatment and outcomes. Through my years, I have had the pleasure of starting up new programs in both oncology and in palliative care and I looking forward to continue my journey caring for our lung patients. 

In my personal life, I have been married for 30 years and I am very proud of my three children.
