Elaine S. Gould, MD

I was appointed to the Department of Radiology as Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging in 2003. Currently, as Professor and Chair of the Department   I oversee ten sub-specialized clinical sections in addition to the division of research.  Stony Brook Radiology expertise includes the areas of breast, abdominal/body, thoracic, cardiac, neuro, emergency, pediatric, musculoskeletal, nuclear medicine / molecular Imaging and interventional radiology.  We have a radiology residency and fellowships as well as participate in the training of medical students.  Our imaging locations include Stony Brook University Hospital and the Ambulatory Care Pavilion, Advanced imaging centers in Stony Brook, Commack, and Riverhead.  In addition to these centrally located locations, we also offer, for our patient’s convenience, services at Eastern Long Island Hospital, Southampton Hospital and Imaging Centers.  Many of these locations offer extended and off-hour availability.  I am very proud of our complement of services, and our faculty are dedicated to maintaining a high level of quality of care for all the patients we serve.
