Eleanor J Romano, DO

I have been a practicing Anesthesiologist since completion of residency in 1995. For the first seven years my passion was to care for patients having vascular and thoracic procedures. I enjoyed the challenge of caring for patients with multiple medical problems during challenging procedures. My entire career has been at Stony Brook University Hospital where I have been teaching our residents. In 2002 I started working at Stony Brook University's Ambulatory Surgery Center. The patients here are mostly healthy and the volume is high. I have the opportunity to reassure and comfort each and every patient and provide them with safe and comfortable care. I enjoy spending time with them preoperatively to alleviate their fears, care for them intraoperatively and postoperatively before they are discharged home.
