Giacomo Scorsese, DO

As a board-certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and perioperative echocardiography, I provide care in various acute and critical settings throughout the hospital. Growing up in Nassau County, I have always had the utmost respect for the fabric of our community and a deep respect for those who serve it. Having joined the volunteer fire department and later the Army National Guard, I know what serving with dignity and honor means. Just like a house fire can affect an entire community and an austere environment affects a unit as a whole, my education as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from NYIT:COM reinforced that disease is intertwined with the entirety of a person’s life and the quality thereof. I brought this with me during my residency at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and subsequently during my fellowship at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan. Professionally, I find immense value and fulfillment in creating a doctor-patient relationship and working to not only restore the quality of life but ease the suffering of critically ill trauma, cardiac, and thoracic patients.
