Imran Aftab Chaudhri, MD

Dr. Imran Chaudhri joined the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in July 2024 as Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Chaudhri earned his B.S. at Union College, M.B.A. from Union Graduate College/Clarkson University and M.D from Albany Medical Center. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Stony Brook from 2018-2021 and was a Chief Resident from 2021-2022. He joined the Stony Brook faculty in 2024 following his Nephrology Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he also completed a medical education fellowship. His research and clinical interests include how genetics play a role in the development of chronic kidney disease. Dr. Chaudhri will be seeing patients in the Nephrology Inpatient Consultation Services and in the Nephrology Outpatient Clinics at 26 Research Way in East Setauket and at 500 Commack Road in Commack.
