Janice John, DO, MS, MPH

Dr. Janice Thomas John is a board-certified pediatric hospitalist dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based, family-centered care for newborns, children, and adolescents. She partners with families through cultural humility, clear communication, and shared decision-making, and collaborates closely with nurses, therapists, administrative staff, and the entire care team to provide safe, coordinated, and holistic care. A leader in medical education, Dr. John has advanced curricula emphasizing clinical excellence, health equity, and reflective practice, while mentoring future physicians and engaging with community partners to promote child health and equitable access to care.

Dr. John currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Preclerkship Curriculum at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook.
