It is a privilege to take care of children suffering with chronic autoimmune disease. As a pediatric rheumatologist, I take care of children afflicted with autoimmune disease that may manifest with various systemic symptoms. Often times the diagnosis is elusive and requires a comprehensive clinical exam, trending labs, evaluating imaging and collaborating with other subspecialists. My role as a pediatric rheumatologist allows me to help families with understanding their diagnosis and making important treatment decisions.
