Krishen Persaud, DO

Dr. Krishen Persaud joined Stony Brook as a Child Psychiatrist on July 15th and will work to provide services for the Child Psychiatry department. Dr. Persaud completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center in June, where he served as the chief fellow. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Persaud completed his residency in Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center. As a first-generation physician and the child of Guyanese immigrants, Dr. Persaud brings with him a unique perspective and a personal interest in providing culturally competent quality care for underserved and minority populations. Dr. Persaud is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Greater Long Island Psychiatric Society. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stony Brook University.
