Lauren A Stietzle, CM

Lauren Stietzle, CM, DPT, earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University and her Master of Science in Midwifery from Thomas Jefferson University. She is a Certified Midwife whose work blends evidence-based midwifery care with more than a decade of clinical expertise in pelvic-floor health. Prior to joining Stony Brook Midwifery, she specialized in an integrative, psychosomatic approach to pelvic-floor rehabilitation, treating conditions such as dyspareunia, vaginismus, and urinary incontinence across the lifespan.

Her midwifery philosophy centers on whole-body physiology, emotional safety, and the deep connection between the nervous system and birth. Lauren incorporates pelvic biomechanics, labor simulation, and body-based education into prenatal care, helping patients feel informed, grounded, and confident throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Lauren provides full-scope midwifery and gynecologic care and is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration, patient advocacy, and creating systems that support individualized labor and treatment paths. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her children.
