Maged S Soliman, MD

Dr. Soliman is a double boarded psychiatrist both in adult and child psychiatry with main focus on child and adolescent psychiatry. He is currently practicing child and adolescent psychiatry in our child and adolescent outpatient psychiatry here at Stony Brook. Dr. Soliman has diverse clinical experience serving a diverse population. He had the privilege of working so many years with underserved Hispanic population, treating foster care children with history of trauma. Dr. Soliman graduated from Tanta University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He completed his Residency in general psychiatry at Stony Brook University Hospital and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine in NY. In addition to his duties in the child and adolescent psychiatry outpatient, Dr. Soliman is part of Stony Brook Movement disorder center of excellence with main focus on Tic disorder.In addition to his interest in Tic disorders, PTSD Dr. Soliman has special interest in diagnosing and treating Children with PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections)
