Margaret O Pearce, MD

Dr. Pearce is a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics and neonatologist at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Dr. Pearce completed a residency in pediatrics at Richmond University Medical Center and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Although not native to the area, she fell in love with all NY has to offer and decided to remain in Long Island. Her dream to pursue neonatology started at a young age after attending a national youth leadership forum on medicine in high school that sparked her interest in neonatology. Dr. Pearce has presented multiple research and Quality Improvement (QI) projects at various national conferences. 

Dr. Pearce remains passionate about Quality Improvement and aims to advance the quality of care given to our tiny patients with initiatives that align with current evidence-based medicine. Her other interests include neonatal nutrition, education of trainees, and high-risk follow-up of NICU graduates. She truly enjoys the connections formed with families and supporting them through their often challenging journey of having an infant in the neonatal ICU.
