Marisa A Armstrong, NP

Marisa Armstrong is a Board Certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about caring for children and supporting families through every stage of growth. Before becoming an NP, she spent several years in the Neonatal ICU at Stony Brook University Hospital, where she developed a deep appreciation for the resilience of her patients and the strength of their families.

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in neonatal and pediatric care, I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports both the child and their family. My years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Stony Brook University Hospital allowed me to develop expertise in caring for medically complex patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding families through some of their most challenging moments.

Now working in the Pediatric department, I’m grateful for the opportunity to support children as they grow — focusing not only on treatment, but on prevention, wellness, and empowering families to care for their little ones with confidence and knowledge. Building trusting relationships, communicating openly, and showing empathy are central to how I practice.
