Interest in anesthesia started in medical school.  I always liked the mix of medicine (taking care of patients with coronary artery disease, COPD, etc.), and the ability to do procedures (such as intravenous lines or regional anesthesia nerve blocks).  I have been doing a lot of pediatric anesthesia since 1995, and mostly ambulatory surgery anesthesia since 1998, and ultrasound guided regional since 2005.
