Meagan Hartough, NP

I started my career as a Registered Nurse in Urology, caring for patients battling cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Witnessing their strength and resilience left an impactful mark on me as a provider, motivating me to take the next step in my professional journey. In 2022, I graduated from Stony Brook University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program, equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide comprehensive care to my patients. Joining Stony Brook Medicine was a pivotal moment for me, as I was immediately struck by the practice's commitment to fostering a welcoming, compassionate, and community-focused environment.
As a member of the Pediatrics team, I have had the opportunity to educate and manage patients with bowel and bladder dysfunction, urinary incontinence and bedwetting, topics that are often overlooked but have a significant impact on the quality of life for many young patients. It has been a rewarding experience to contribute to improving the lives of these children and their families.
Working in Pediatrics brings me joy and I am driven by the hope of making a lasting and positive impact on the lives of the young patients I treat. I am grateful to be part of such a strong, supportive and dedicated team of health care professionals at Stony Brook Urology.
