Michael Hung, MD

Dr. Hung is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care and fostering an environment of open communication for patients to take an active role in their health. He believes in the importance of a collaborative approach to medicine and works closely with our comprehensive multidisciplinary teams.

Dr. Hung specializes in the management of complex urologic cancers, utilizing both traditional and cutting-edge modalities. His expertise includes ​advanced focal therapy for prostate cancer and the latest treatment options for bladder preservation in cases of bladder cancer. Furthermore, Dr. Hung is highly skilled in completely robotic urinary diversions, including the construction of neobladders, allowing for sophisticated reconstructive procedures with the latest minimally invasive techniques.

He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his urology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital. He further specialized through a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine. His extensive training in robotic surgery enables him to treat complex urologic conditions with precision. Dr. Hung has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and possesses deep expertise in treating all cancers of the genitourinary tract, including the prostate, bladder, kidney, ureter, and testis.
