Michael L Ernst, MD

Dr. Ernst's goal is to create a safe and open environment for his patients and their families to receive excellent care. He believes that clear, simple communication is the key to the best outcomes for his patients. While surgery or medications may be a part of the treatment discussed, Dr. Ernst will also always discuss what to look out for going forward and what you can be doing at home. He wants you to feel comfortable asking questions and leave his office with confidence that you and your child are receiving the best care at Stony Brook Urology. 

Dr. Ernst has specific fellowship training in pediatric urology which included the care of patients from early prenatal visits to the lifelong care of congenital urologic conditions. He has worked in many multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes. This includes specialty clinics focused on spina bifida, differences of sexual differentiation, and kidney health.
