Michael L Schwartz, NP

Michael Schwartz is a Nurse Practitioner in internal medicine who works in tandem with Justin Waryold, DNP, and is a graduate of the Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program at SUNY Upstate Medical University, in Syracuse, New York. His clinical focus is on the prevention and treatment of adult and geriatric health conditions in the primary care setting, grounded in a patient-centered, holistic approach that respects each person’s goals, identity, and lived experience. Michael is also a career paramedic with more than 18 years of experience, and his nursing background includes emergency medicine, critical care, and hospital administration, with experience across Nassau County. He has a particular interest in the physical and psychological health of first responders and law enforcement officers, including the impact of occupational stress and trauma across the lifespan. In addition, he is committed to promoting sexual health and well-being and to providing inclusive, affirming primary care for members of the LGBTQ* community while improving their access to high-quality, relationship-based care.
