Muhammad Choudry, MD

My interest in Anesthesiology began during medical school when I realized it offered the ideal combination of medicine and procedural care. I was drawn to the challenge of making critical decisions in real time, tailoring anesthetic care to each patient's unique needs, and using procedural skills to help ensure safe surgical outcomes.

Originally from South Carolina, I value the warmth, kindness, and hospitality that are hallmarks of the South. I strive to bring those qualities to every patient encounter by taking the time to listen, answer questions, and help patients feel comfortable and reassured during what is often one of the most stressful days of their lives.

Throughout my career, I have cared for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures in both academic and private practice settings. I am proud to serve the Long Island community and look forward to contributing to Stony Brook's tradition of clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
