Olga Higbee, PA

I have been a PA (Physician Associate/Assistant) for over 20 yrs. My career has spanned the specialties of urology, urgent care, and pulmonary medicine. I have enjoyed all of them, and each has provided me with a unique set of skills, experiences, challenges and perspectives.  Upon moving back to the East Coast, I was presented with an opportunity to switch my specialization yet again and work in the ER at Stony Brook. While switching specialties is always challenging, I felt that working at Stony Brook would provide me with incredible opportunities and very strong academic atmosphere that Stony Brook is known for.  I feel that we provide an exceptional level of care to the residents of Suffolk county (without having to travel to the City). Providing care in the ER allows me to treat a broad variety of complex issues. 

When not in the ER, I enjoy exploring all that Long Island has to offer. I have spent the past 15 yrs in the Southwest. Now that I am back, I am enjoying the four seasons, the ocean, and hiking with my giant mutt.
