Princy John, NP

Princy John is a board-certified family nurse practitioner on the Electrophysiology unit at Stonybrook University hospital. She has a special interest in Cardiology for treating various arrhythmia conditions and managing cardiac implant devices.
Caring for others was not only a passion but also a very satisfying experience in her life. Growing up with such passion, a nursing career was a dream in her childhood. Pursuing her dream with absolute commitment and focus she was able to enter the wonderful profession of nursing. Developing moral values and personal skills needed for a nurse early in life assisted her in performing health care duties making a difference in one’s life. As a nurse, she has set no limits and she aspires to grow continuously.
She started her nursing career in 2008 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors from the Royal College of Nursing, India, and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Molloy University and began her career as a Nurse practitioner. She worked as an RN at the Pediatric and neonatal intensive care Unit in India. Since she came to the United States, she worked as an RN at New York Presbyterian Hospital for about 10 years in medical-surgical/telemetry units and a Cardiothoracic Intensive care unit.
Before her position with us, NP John worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Urgent care units and critical care units. Princy Joined the Stonybrook University Hospital in 2022 and works closely with Electrophysiologists. She is board-certified with the American Nurse Credentialing Centre and the American academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She is passionate about advancing care through learning and clinical practice.
