Ramon Abola, MD

Helping patients do well during surgery and relieving pain for our mothers who are in labor are two reasons that drew me to the practice of anesthesia. I have other areas of interest that enhance my skills as anesthesiologist.  My work in clinical informatics focuses on how we can assess and monitor the work that we are doing. My work in quality improvement looks to enhance the anesthesia care that our department is providing. I completed my residency at Stony Brook in 2010 and have remained as faculty since then. I have continued to work at Stony Brook because of my anesthesia, surgical and nursing colleagues that I get to work with each day.
