I was drawn to Stony Brook by the institution's obvious commitment to providing innovative pediatric care. I believe that every surgical or anesthetic encounter is an opportunity to improve health well beyond the single visit. Thoughtful care choices can make life better for all involved. I have interests in pediatric pain management, regional anesthesia and enhanced recovery after surgery. Enhanced recovery can best be described as the promotion of choices before, during and after surgery that allow a child to return to normal health as quickly as possible.
