Roger Fan, MD

Roger Fan, MD, FACC, FHRS, is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Director of the Complex Arrhythmia Ablation Program, Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Consult Service and Director of the Electrophysiology Training Program. He went to Yale College and Yale School of Medicine, completed his medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, and completed his cardiology and electrophysiology training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.Dr. Fan joined Stony Brook Medicine in 2008 and helped develop the Stony Brook Heart Rhythm Center into the premiere destination in Long Island for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. He is an expert on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia and ventricular tachycardia, and implantation and management of cardiac devices, and has authored over 30 publications. He was recognized with the Stony Brook Master Clinician Award in 2021. He is also a dedicated teacher, winning the Harvard Medical School Excellence in Teaching Award, Stony Brook Cardiology Teacher of the Year and Stony Brook University Excellence in Teaching Award.
