Rosemarie A Montecalvo, DO

Rosemarie A. Montecalvo, D.O. is a double board-certified physician within the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Montecalvo obtained her medical degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry residency, as well as her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship within the Stony Brook Hospitals system. Dr. Montecalvo’s approach to care is inquisitive, thoughtful and comprehensive, with particular attention to the mind-body connection. She values strong partnership with children and teens, their families, and their schools.

Dr. Montecalvo currently serves as a member of the Stony Brook School Consultation Program. She is actively working to improve access to patient care and expand relationships with school districts across the county. Her clinical interests include school avoidance, autism, addiction, trauma, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Montecalvo identifies as an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
