Russ F Saypoff, MD, MBA

Dr. Russ Saypoff has over 20 years of clinical Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology experience.  He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.  Dr. Saypoff completed his undergraduate Bachelor and Master Degree in Computer Science here at Stony Brook and attended SUNY Downstate where he received his Medical Doctorate.  At Downstate he was the recipient of the Alpha Omega Alpha Neural Networks Research Fellowship.  After his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Albert Einstein - Montefiore Medical Center, he completed his Interventional Radiology Fellowship here at Stony Brook Department of Radiology.  He also completed a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Northeastern University in Boston, where he was also Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.  Dr. Saypoff was an Interventional Radiology physician mainly in private practice before returning to Stony Brook.  He performed the first Aortic Finestration and initiated Endovascular Aneurysm Repair service for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms at local community hospitals, and completed over 1500 procedures per year.  He is particularly interested in Diagnostic Radiology, Dialysis Access Repair, Vericose Vein and Venous Access.  He considers it a privilege to work with the students, residents and fellows here at Stony Brook.
