Serena Pergola is a board-certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to empowering patients, families, and colleagues. She transforms personal growth into purposeful advocacy, consistently championing the well-being of children and families, a commitment she brings to the Stony Brook Children’s Pediatric Hospitalist team. As a pediatric nurse, Serena supported families facing complex diagnoses, finding passion in the intersection of clinical skill and emotional resilience. Her approach centers on delivering high-quality, compassionate, and confidence-building care. Through advanced clinical training across diverse settings including Pediatric Emergency, Intensive Care, Behavioral Health, and Oncology, she developed expertise in evidence-based, family-centered practice. At C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital - Michigan Medicine, Serena strengthened her dedication to inquiry, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration, leading initiatives that promoted resiliency and staff well-being.
