About
My journey at Stony Brook has been both personal and professional. After returning as a nursing student, I spent 13 years at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, where I had the privilege of caring for children and families as a pediatric nurse, nurse educator, and clinical leader. After completing my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree at Stony Brook University, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Throughout my years in pediatric nursing, I have come to appreciate that caring for a child means caring for the entire family. I recognize that a hematology or oncology diagnosis can bring uncertainty, fear, and many questions. I hope to help ease some of that uncertainty by providing compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care, while taking the time to listen, communicate openly, and support each family along the way. My goal is to build meaningful relationships with the children and families I care for, help them feel informed and empowered, and ensure they know they are never alone in navigating their journey. Having such a longstanding connection to Stony Brook, I feel truly fortunate to continue serving this community in a new capacity and to walk alongside children and their families during some of life's most challenging moments.
