Surabhi Aggarwal, MD

Dr. Surabhi Aggarwal is an Assistant Professor In the Department of Pediatrics who completed her fellowship in neonatology at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital in 2012. Dr. Aggarwal cares for newborns, who are born prematurely or with complex health conditions such as respiratory distress, feeding difficulty, and surgical issues diagnosed prenatally or at birth. She is the NICU Liaison for the Coordinated Fetal Care Program(CFCP) which focuses on identifying complex patients facilitating the needed care and consultations and coordinating pre and post-natal care and treatment plans.

Dr. Aggarwal has a passion for infant health, evidence-based medicine, and family-centered care by helping parents through challenging medical episodes. Her key interest in neonatology focuses on non-invasive ventilation, jet ventilation, and nutrition, especially Breast milk feedings. Her research interests focus on “Less Invasive Surfactant Administration” and Breast Milk Feedings and Quality Improvement in NICU.
